This 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i in Obsidian Black Pearl with 183k had new head gaskets at 165k. That also included new valve cover gaskets and resurfacing the heads before putting everything back together. Also gave it a new rear main seal and resealed the separator plate.

Replaced the transmission with one having just 105k.

New front brake rotors (rear rotors and rear brake lines are close to new, done just 5k ago), new battery, rack and pinion, catalytic converter, mufflers, LH ball joint, and rear wheel bearings.

Front brake pads are close to new, with 9mm thickness (10mm is new for front pads). Rear pads are at 6mm (8mm is new for rear pads).

Gave it our signature 300+ mile test, and it passed.

Automatic transmission with sport shift. Fog lights. Double wishbone rear suspension makes for a smoother ride.

16" alloy wheels with a set of 4 Cooper CS5 Grand Touring all-season tires have plenty of tread remaining: 7/32" in front and 6/32" in back. (10/32" is new, and 2/32" means Replace Now.) We rotated the tires for you, putting the deeper tread in front.

Rear seats fold down to extend the trunk for more cargo space. Red floor lighting in front. See photos.

Cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. Boss Audio System stereo has a USB port, 1/8" aux jack, remote, and Bluetooth phone connectivity. 12v power outlet.

A trip computer is in the dashboard to monitor fuel economy: city/highway should be 20/27 mpg.

For stability and safety, Subaru's Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system monitors the direction of the car compared to the intended steering direction. It compensates by braking individual wheels and/or altering fuel flow to the engine. Also, the Traction Control System (TCS) senses if any wheels are skidding and redirects power only to those wheels having the best traction.

Imperfections (see photos): small dent in driver's door; surface rust outside of trunk; holes in driver's seat upholstery (but we'll send you a set of seat covers). No remote fob. TPMS light is on even though all tires are inflated to recommended pressure.

But of course it has Subaru's signature All-Wheel Drive transmission!
