It ought to turn heads ... and the odometer should too, with only 88k miles! Trimmed in silver, it's a 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport in Paprika Red Pearl. We completely rebuilt the engine less than 2k ago: this consisted of reboring the cylinders; new pistons and rings; new main bearings and rod bearings; remanufactured crankshaft; new block seals, crossover tube seals, and rear main seal; new head gaskets and valve cover gaskets; new oil pan gasket and water pump gasket. Resurfaced the heads before putting everything back together.

Gave it new front brake pads and rotors. Rear pads are in good shape, with 5mm thickness (8mm is new for rear pads). Also replaced the front U-joint, the radio, and did exhaust work and electrical work.

--> Gave it our signature 300+ mile test, and it passed.

Automatic transmission with optional manual mode and paddle shifters. Its double wishbone rear suspension makes for a smoother ride. Sport-tuned suspension.

17" alloy wheels with a set of 4 Kumho Ecsta 4xII Ultra-High Performance all-season tires are close to new, with 9/32" tread. (10/32" is new.) We balanced them for you.

Fog lights. Roof rack crossbars will carry 175 lbs. Rear spoiler.

All-Weather Package includes heated front seats, plus defrosting outside mirrors & windshield wiper de-icers which turn on when rear defrost button is pushed. Rear seats fold down for more space to haul stuff (see photos). Retractable rear cargo cover and cargo tray.

Ivory cloth upholstery is clean and nice under the seat covers ... but we kind of liked the artsy patterned covers from the previous owner, so we left them for you. :)

10-speaker upgraded stereo system with 100-Watt 6-disc CD changer; aux port in the center console. Pre-wired for XM or Sirius radio. The steering wheel also has audio and cruise control buttons.

12v power outlets in both the front console and center console.

A trip computer is in the dashboard to monitor fuel economy: over 235 miles of combined highway/city driving, it got 27 mpg (see photos).

For stability and safety, Subaru's Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system monitors the direction of the car compared to the intended steering direction. It compensates by braking individual wheels and/or altering fuel flow to the engine. Also, the Traction Control System (TCS) senses if any wheels are skidding and redirects power only to those wheels having the best traction.

This model was a Top Safety Pick for 2010 by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. It comes with six airbags (including side-curtain ones) as well as Brake Assist.

Imperfections (see photos): Scratches on LH fender and exterior mirror. TPMS light is on even though all tires are inflated to recommended pressure.

But of course this Impreza has Subaru's signature All-Wheel Drive transmission!
