Notice the Satin White Pearl? This 2013 Subaru Forester 2.5x Premium with 144k has a 2015 engine (which we installed) with only 124k. Also repaired the A/C.

Front brake pads are close to new, with 9mm thickness (10mm is new for front pads). Rear pads have 5mm thickness (8mm is new for rear pads).

The vehicle has had a rebuilt title since 2016, which was over 100,000 miles ago. At that time, it had been bought back by an insurance company after an incident, and then, after being rebuilt to required standards, it passed safety inspections in both Minnesota and Iowa. It performed very well for us in our 300 mile test, and we don't notice any red flags.

Automatic transmission with sport shift. Its double wishbone rear suspension makes for a smoother ride.

17" alloy wheels with a close-to-new set of 4 Goodyear Reliant all-season tires with 9/32" of tread remaining (10/32" is new).

Powered Sunroof with generous dimensions: 28" x 31.5".

All-Weather Package includes heated front seats, plus defrosting outside mirrors & windshield wiper de-icers which turn on when rear defrost button is pushed. 10-way power driver seat including power lumbar support. Tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Flip-down rear armrest and beverage holder. Rear seats recline a bit as well as fold down for more cargo space.

The steering wheel has audio, handsfree phone/Bluetooth controls, and cruise control buttons. A USB port plus a 1/8" aux jack are in the center console. Stereo with 4.3" LCD display screen.

There are 3 12v power outlets: in the front console, center console, and rear cargo area.

Of all Subaru models, the Forester has a bit more headroom: it's an inch or two higher than the Outback. Driver's seat height (adjustable) averages about 25" off the ground. Its ground clearance of 8.7 inches makes it not only easy to get in and out of, but along with the all-wheel drive, makes it a great vehicle for all seasons, including Midwest winters.

Cargo volume with the rear seats up is 30.8 cubic feet. With the rear seats folded, it's 63.0 cf.

For stability and safety, Subaru's Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system monitors the direction of the car compared to the intended steering direction. It compensates by braking individual wheels and/or altering fuel flow to the engine. Also, the Traction Control System (TCS) senses if any wheels are skidding and redirects power only to those wheels having the best traction.

This model was a Top Safety Pick for 2013 by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. It comes with six airbags (including side-curtain ones) as well as Brake Assist.
